Private San Sebastian City Tour

TOUR DESCRIPTION

If you want to visit all the highlights of San Sebastian in a few hours, this is your tour!

San Sebastian is much more than just its Old Town and there are plenty of things to see and visit outside of its “walls”. On this San Sebastian City Tour, you will learn about the history of the city, the Basque culture, and the food scene, while visiting the most iconic and emblematic spots of San Sebastian.

We will begin the day by driving to the top of Igeldo Mountain to admire the views of the Bay of La Concha, the whole city of San Sebastian and beyond. We will also relax with the sound of the waves while contemplating the three massive steel sculptures designed by Eduardo Chillida.

We will continue our tour in the City Center of San Sebastian, taking an easy-going stroll through pedestrian streets, plazas, cafes, and open-air terraces. We will stop to see the most iconic buildings and learn why San Sebastian became a favourite destination for royalty and aristocrats during the “Belle Epoque”, an era lasting from the late XIXth Century to the XXth Century.

Before heading into the Old Town, we will visit the traditional market of La Bretxa to learn about Basque food and gastronomic traditions. We will then dive into the bustling streets of San Sebastian’s Old Town, full of pintxo bars and monuments, to learn about the history and origins of the city.

Note: If desired, our San Sebastian City Tour can be complemented with a Pintxos Tour – during our itinerary we will make stops at the classical bars of San Sebastian for you to enjoy 5 pintxos each paired with its perfect drink.
