This food tour is perfect for all those who want to get a taste of the contrasting flavours between the land and the sea available in the Basque Country.
We will drive from San Sebastian into the rural heart of the Basque Countryside to visit an Idiazabal Designation of Origin Cheese Farm where you will learn about the elaboration process of our local cheese and enjoy a tasting of the products elaborated at the farm.
Afterwards, we will head towards the coast to visit a Txakoli winery overlooking the sea. In the cellar, you will learn about the elaboration process of this unique Basque white wine and enjoy a wine tasting paired with local seafood appetizers, like Cantabrian anchovies or Bonito white tuna preserved in oil, allegedly the best way to enjoy Txakoli wine.
